Job advertisements in Australia declined by 0.2 percent to 176,418 in April of 2018, following a downwardly revised 0.1 percent drop in the previous month. On an annual basis, the increase in job advertisements eased to 8.6 percent in April from 11.5 percent in March. "While the growth in job ads has paused, the level of job ads is high and is consistent with ongoing employment growth," said David Plank, ANZ's head of Australian economics. Job Advertisements in Australia averaged 140529.97 from 1999 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 258093.41 in April of 2008 and a record low of 69799 in July of 1999.
